About us

LaptopClarity is a Blog that is not affiliated with any company, which discusses laptops from Windows to macOS.

This Blog was established in 2026 and it is a small team, which operates to ensure individuals get the correct laptop without falling victim to buying expensive laptops that fail to match the hype in the advertisements.

This is why we do not merely examine the specifications sheets and advertisements of makers. Rather collect laptops from friends, family and review unit from shop and do actual tests on them to acquire real performance data.

We have a testing and scoring protocol based on objective, consistent and repeatable testing that presents real product performance. Moreover, we also have subjective evaluation of product areas which cannot be tested objectively.

We combine our objective data-driven test findings and subjective evaluation of experts to produce fair and honest reviews of laptops.

Our business specialises in 5 types of laptops. These categories have been selected because they are costly and complicated purchases that are encountered by businesses, developers, editors and ordinary users. The ability to find out the performance of these laptops as well as comparing them can make our readers make better and informed buying decisions.

Every category of laptop we test is tested and scored in a specialised manner (thought a certain amount of overlap is found between similar classifications, IE. gaming laptops and video editing laptops). To be more specific, the links given below will lead you to the particular category testing and scoring pages.

Dedicated and shared GPU memory usage of NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
Dedicated and shared GPU memory usage of NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
  • Gaming Laptops FPS performance, thermal performance, display refresh rates.
  • Business Laptops- Battery life, portability, assembly, quality.
  • Video Editing Laptops: Rendering performance, colour performance, RAM performance.
  • Budget Laptops Value analysis, daily work management.
  • Ultrabook –Weight, thickness, battery life.

But we don’t just stop there.

We also publish buying guides on how our readers can use a laptop in a particular situation, and publish original comparisons between prices and brands to help our readers find the perfect laptop that fits their needs.

Why should you trust us?

We are possessive about laptop technology when we are not at work.

We track processor releases, graphics announcements and display technology – habitually looking out to new models with noisy marketing promises.

My team and I get to test laptops in the aid of family members, friends and local shops whereby the gadgets are gathered by us to test them.

We do not accept paid reviews of devices or free laptops in order to write praising reviews. We want to remain unbiased.

We are conducting performance tests in controlled conditions.

We have had testing facilities where we execute benchmarks, stress tests, and workflows to be able to compare performance between different brands and models.

The laptops are used on a daily basis.

We get to feel how it feels to work, play games, and make things on these machines then we tell you to buy them.

We do not overlook the invisible expenses.

We follow the actual battery performance degradation, ageing thermal throttling, and upgrade restrictions – to be aware of what you are actually committing to.

We would like to say that a laptop is a sucker.

We are independent to the core and we do not do advertisements and thus we can be as candid as we like, more so when it comes to a laptop failing to impress.

How we test laptops

Our laptop reviews will not be merely a personal taste or worse still a replica of the same rehashed specifications list that all other tech sites put online.

Bivash, who is the founder, has been dealing with computers since he had assembled his first PC.We’ve seen too many “reviews” that simply reword manufacturer press releases. We don’t want to repeat that story. This is the reason why we do indeed put to the test all our lapses of laptops we recommend, outside of the hours of research we do to the various manufactures and the specifics of what is inside each computer.

The detailed testing of our performance enables us to make a direct comparison of the performance of various models (and even various settings) of the same kind since each and every laptop is tested in the same manner as it is being performed in the same conditions.

We are running standardised benchmark suites such as Cinebench, 3DMark, and PCMark to test CPU, graphics and system performance. The tests are performed thrice to ensure accuracy.

  • Battery life: The test is executed by having a video play on a continuous basis at half-brightness until the laptop shuts off. Test battery drain in real world productivity tasks and gaming are also tested.
  • Our thermal tests involve infrared thermometers and monitoring software in which we track the temperature of CPU and graphics card when under sustained load to detect throttling accidents.
  • We calibrate display quality of the displays with colorimeter devices to determine sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage, brightness and contrast ratios – important information to creators and professionals.
  • We extensively test the weights of all laptops, the size of the chassis, and the quality of our builds by testing them in practise – description of specifications cannot tell you what a laptop feels like.

Our total score of each laptop assumes first-hand benchmark data, and our assessment of build quality, keyboard experience, display, thermals, and value of money.

How we make money

We do not receive our salary until our readers purchase a product that we recommend with the help of one of the links we provide in our articles. The retailer you make your purchase will provide us with a small concession on the value of the laptop you purchased at no additional expense to yourself.

These referral commissions are the sole means of our income. We do not accept money to carry sponsored articles, and we do not receive money to write a positive review, and we do not sell the visitors of the site advertisements.

LaptopClarity is a strongly independent magazine having no back door arrangement with any of the manufacturers and brands we represent. We also understand that we will only last as long as we continue to be trusted by our readers such as you to be honest and independent in product testing unless we want to compromise our reputation as honest, independent testers of the goods, just to generate a few of the ad-based dollars.

Our reviews and extensive testing consume several weeks of our work, therefore, in case you want to contribute to our work, but you do not need a laptop at the moment, you can simply send our articles to your friends or colleagues, who will also be interested in it.

Actual laptop reviews are labour intensive.

We take the time to test every laptop, and determine whether the real world performance is up to the claims of the manufacturer. All of our reviews are supported by benchmark data and several hours of research and real-life testing.

We attempt to create the kind of reviews we would have seen more and more widely over the internet. It is the reason why we excavate and collect similar information about each laptop to be able to inform you whether the computer is really worth your rupee or whether there is a better alternative in the market.

We would love to be known by other people, in case you are a fan of our work. With your help, we will be able to come up with even more comprehensive reviews, buying guides, comparison articles, and original benchmark studies in the future. It also enables us to take a stand when the manufacturers do not like what we are seeing in our data.

We are determined to be the truth to people who are seeking to have the ideal laptop to suit their demands.

Man Behind the Blog

My real name is Bivash Deb, who is the Founder and Editor in chief of LaptopClarity.com.

Bivash Deb Testing Laptop

I have a Master degree in Computer Applications, and I have been systematically reviewing laptops, generating performance information, writing reviews, and trying my best to make sure that I prepare tremendously useful materials to my readers.

I have been using serious and thorough research since I was young enough to begin purchasing my own technology in order to make an informed decision.

I am not a person who makes an impulse purchase. During the construction of my first computer, research involved reading tech forums, comparing parts and just trying it out. It is based on that that I do my reviews of laptops today.

In my growing age, the reviews over the internet did the same. Over the past few years, I have been doing my research online to find high quality reviews on vast majority of the things I am purchasing.

Although there are not lacking in the number of laptop reviews on the Internet, so numerous reviews promote disappointment or a feeling that the reviewer did not last the first day of using the product.

LaptopClarity was formed by me to assist in changing that.

Great testing is the beginning of great reviews. I also pride myself in creating and doing the tests and experiments on each of the laptops I test. The passing of specially formulated tests gives an element of objective data that will aid in substituting the subjective opinion with a more objective and hard facts.

Opinions are fine, and you will get an abundance of them in this section, but I think that reviews may be even better when a synthesis of assembled specifications, objective benchmark measurements, and personal hands-on reviews are conjoined.

Our Mission

After all, the LaptopClarity mission is uncomplicated, as in we will produce the best reviews, videos, and guides to enable you discover, research, and choose the laptop that suits your unique circumstances.

Since we have been in the business, we have concentrated on gaming laptops, business laptops, ultrabooks, video editing laptops, and cheaper products.

In the event there is a laptop in any of those categories that you would like to be reviewed, or a different category completely that you feel we should be doing, then please do tell me.

We owe our gratitude to your trust on LaptopClarity.com! We hope we can help you today.
